We wish to extend to you our warmest welcome today. Our purpose as a church is to love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ by serving people in His name. We are not a perfect church; but we are endeavoring to follow Jesus with all our heart and we hope you will sense our love for Him and our love for all who come here. Ballard Baptist Church has had a long and rich history, beginning as a Swedish immigrant church over 100 years ago. We honor our memorable past, but we also embrace what God is doing among us today and in the future. We would love to include you in today's "history" by serving you in the service of Jesus.

Our Purpose

Ballard Baptist Church exists to proclaim the Word of God as we...

Praise and worship God - Exalting God through praise, prayer, and the Word.
Make disciples - Helping believers to grow in love and knowledge of Christ.
Evangelize our world - Sharing the good news of Jesus here and around the world.
Minister to people - Showing compassion for those around us who are hurting.
Participate in fellowship - Strengthening one another in loving relationships.

What We Believe

We believe the Bible is inspired by God and is inerrant in the original writings...
We believe there is one God who exists in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit...
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, who lived as a man, died for our sins, rose again from the dead, and is coming to earth again one day...
We believe a person is saved (spiritually reborn) by repenting of sin and believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior...
We believe in the ordinances of believer baptism and the Lord’s supper...
We believe the primary task of the church is to share the good news of Jesus with its community and the world...
